Background

As a core governmental institution, the National Assembly of Cambodia required a professional-grade video surveillance system that could ensure superior image quality, intelligent video analytics, and seamless integration with its existing VMS infrastructure. With public safety and operational efficiency at stake, the goal was to implement a system that is not only cost-effective but also future-proof, capable of supporting AI-driven video search and long-term scalability.

Challenges

To secure a high-profile government facility, the surveillance system had to meet several demanding criteria:

High-definition image clarity for critical facial and behavioral recognition.

Wide-angle coverage was essential to monitor large open areas with minimal blind spots, ensuring no critical activity was missed.

Traditional panoramic cameras often suffer from image distortion, making it harder to interpret details or conduct smart search effectively. The Assembly needed a distortion-free, natural-looking panoramic view with an even wider field of vision.

The system had to seamlessly integrate with their existing VMS platform, leveraging smart search, bookmarks, and intelligent metadata for improved operational efficiency.

Solution

To meet the high-level security demands of the National Assembly, BlueIT implemented a Milesight IP surveillance system that delivers sharp imaging, intelligent analytics, and full Network Optix VMS compatibility.

Panoramic Coverage with Natural View

For wide public areas, dual-sensor 180° panoramic cameras were installed to provide a 180° horizontal and 50° vertical field of view. Unlike traditional panoramic camera, it delivers seamlessly stitched, natural-looking images, enabling operators to monitor large scenes without distortion.

Entrance Monitoring with Detail Focus

At entrances, motorized bullet cameras capture clear facial and vehicle details. Its remote zoom and focus ensure sharp close-ups at varying distances, while AI face capture pushes snapshots to the VMS for quick person identification and tracking.

Long-Range Surveillance at Perimeter Zones

For dynamic monitoring, PTZ cameras and speed dome camera were deployed at gates and key outdoor points. With powerful zoom, auto-tracking, and Milesight VCA 2.0, they allow precise and long-range AI detection of large areas.
